Scott
Bowen, is a Seattle-area personal injury attorney, serving Washington
State residents. He has a strong personal commitment to representing

Scott Bowen has been a lawyer since 1979. He is a partner in
the law firm of Trudell Bowen & Lingenbrink, PLLC in Kirkland,
Washington. His law practice is limited to representing injured
people and their families in automobile accident cases, wrongful
death cases, premise liability cases and medical negligence cases.
He particularly enjoys representing children and the elderly.
Scott Bowen is a member of the Washington State Bar Association,
an Eagle Member of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association
and the American Trial Lawyers Association.
Scott Bowen was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He received his
undergraduate degree from the University of Utah in 1975. He graduated
from Gonzaga School of Law in Spokane, Washington in 1979. During
law school Scott Bowen worked as an intern at the Washington State
Court of Appeals Division III.
After graduating from law school and passing the Washington State
Bar examination, Scott Bowen became a deputy prosecuting attorney
in Snohomish County. There, he worked on both the civil and criminal
sides of the prosecuting attorney’s office. On the civil
side, Scott Bowen managed the child support enforcement division.
On the criminal side, Scott Bowen did criminal trial work, handling
cases ranging from speeding tickets to first-degree murder, including
the successful prosecution of child murder Steven Brooks. Scott
Bowen finished his tenure in the Snohomish County Prosecuting
Attorney’s Office as an attorney on the special assault
unit, prosecuting serious assaults and sexual offenses.
During 1983 Scott Bowen left the Snohomish County Prosecuting
Attorney’s Office and began working for the Seattle law
firm of Williams Kastner & Gibbs. There, he began his career
in personal injury work and was involved in the representation
of pharmaceutical companies, physicians and insurance companies.
During 1985, Scott Bowen left Williams Kastner & Gibbs in
order to represent injured people, rather than negligent defendants
and to practice law with Patrick Trudell, who has been a friend
since law school.
Since 1985, Scott Bowen has represented thousands of injured
people in claims and disputes with insurance companies and tortfeasors.
Scott Bowen’s law practice is litigation based and involves
settlement negotiations, mediations, arbitrations and trials.
He represents his clients on a contingency fee basis and only
takes fees when a case successfully resolves.
Scott Bowen has a commitment to legal pro bono work and over
the years has represented a number of injured individuals without
charging fees, or taking reduced fees. Scott Bowen’s pro
bono work has provided for disabled and disadvantaged children,
has put young people through college and has provided economic
security for elderly individuals.
Scott Bowen resides with his wife, Vali Somers and two teenaged
sons on Mercer Island, Washington.

crosswalk. Allstate Insurance Company paid policy limits of
$50,000 and Defendant Lee paid $55,000 of his personal funds.
